Virginia Foundation for Cooperation

Virginia Foundation for Cooperation, Inc.

The Virginia Foundation for Cooperation, Inc. (VFC), is the VCC’s financial partner and provides financial support for our educational programs. A 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt organization, VFC’s primary activity is to fund annual scholarships to agricultural economics students, primarily to agriculture students at Virginia’s two land universities: Virginia Tech’s Department of Agricultural Economics and Virginia State University. In addition, the VFC helps fund the Virginia Institute on Cooperative Education (VICE) and student attendance at cooperative leadership institutes in other states.

The VFC publishes an annual report each spring in the Richmond Times Dispatch and welcomes donations from members and patrons. In 2019, the VFC board revised our investment policy to allow for more diversified and aggressive growth. To learn about making a tax deductible contribution to the VFC, please contact Mary Howell at mary.howell@sscoop.com.
